Since Monday 24th July 2017 Do-it-together Science Bus have been running workshops right here at the POD. The workshops they delivered were making yoghurt in the morning and making sunscream in the afternoon. All the families and POD users who took part enjoyed their experience and found the science behind the experiments fascinating. We had amazing feedback…
Our sewing class tested their skills and made dresses in today’s class. They done a great job and made some beautiful clothing.
Here’s a small selection of the many new children books that have arrived at Bloomsbury library this week. If your child is not already a member of the library come along and join right here at the POD- it’s free! Adele our librarian is here every Tuesday and Wednesday 9am – 5pm.
Our May 2017 Healthy Half Term Programme is now currently full, so there is no more spaces available. However if you are interested in family activities during the half term we will be holding community events on Thursday 1st June and Friday 2nd June. Keep checking our social medias for further details on these events.
We had an amazing turn out at our World Culture Day celebration today. It was nice to see all the community come together to celebrate all the different cultures, while getting the chance to learn more about everyone’s ethnic background. The community all sat around and joined in with stories from all around the world…
Our beauty course came to an end last week. The ladies from the class had a celebration as they were handed their certificates for attending and completing the course
On Saturday 17th of June we will be holding a picnic to celebrate Jo Cox’s belief that we all have something in common. Come along and join our Great Get Together.
The families really enjoyed the Arts and Craft sessions at the POD. This week they made fans and personalised money tins, which will really encourage them to save up. Don’t forget to join us next time on Wednesday 7th June 2017 from 4.00 pm- 5.30 pm for the Healthy Eating and Cooking sessions.
Our ESOL Class had a wonderful celebration today as they were awarded certificates for attending and doing excellent this term, in our ESOL classes with Kevin and Keri.
