My name is Beth. I have recently started working at The Pod as the Neighbourhood Network Scheme Project Support Worker. This involves finding services provided in the Nechells ward area that can improve the lives of people over 50 years of age in the community. I work in a wider team with other project support workers in Birmingham and the Social Work team. I have a degree in Social Policy and Childhood and Family Studies and also have experience of working in the voluntary advice sector and with families within the Nechells community
My name is Ella- I’m the new volunteer coordinator (funded by HS2), as well as employment and welfare officer, here at Nechells POD. I am really excited to be starting work at the POD and look forward to getting volunteering up and running again in 2021. Before working here I had volunteered with a range of community organisations myself and I am really eager to help other people get the same positive experiences that I’ve had.
