The National Lottery funded the Nechells POD Living Histories Project through Awards for All. The project which included writing and publishing a book about the memories about living in Nechells has also been made into two short films where our community talk about their life experiences and share memories and recollections of days gone by……… The project has been a great success memories have been captured and recorded to pass on to future generations, the group have shared many happy and some sad memories, written poetry and enjoyed bursting into song every now and then. New friendships have been formed and the group are going to continue to meet on a regular basis. Sue Ball and Keith Surtees who organised and ran the project have been absolutely brilliant. We would like to thank the National Lottery for funding such a valuable project for the Nechells community.
