On Friday 16 October to mark National Apple Week Fareshare donated apples to the POD.
There were so many trays of apples we were able to distribute them to three primary schools: St Joseph’s, Cromwell and St Vincent’s.
This meant that local school children and the community had a fantastic end to their week . As part of National Apple Week, the POD was delighted to receive the donation of apples from Fareshare which ensured that every child was able to take home at least one bag of apples, local residents also received apples and one school made apple pies for the children’s lunches.
It looks like the doctors in Nechells will have lots of spare time as the community will all be eating apples! Don’t forget an apple a day keeps the doctor away!!!
