Noran successfully applied to the Landmark Trust for a holiday in one of their beautiful properties and was able to take some of the FiNs who were part of the Living History Project sponsored by Awards for All from the Big Lottery to Elton House in Bath Somerset for a long weekend. Elton House was an amazing Georgian property, which was beautifully furnished and very comfortable.
The group enjoyed a fish and chip supper on Friday evening at the Sea Food Restaurant and went sight seeing in Bath. A particular thank you to Francesca from Age UK who organised a special cream tea at the suberb Francis hotel . We would also like to thank Rosy and the staff at the Bathwick Boatman Restaurant who provided the most amazing Sunday lunch in beautiful surroundings. Noran and Sean did the catering for the rest of the meals and made sure that everyone was well fed and comfortable. There was no television so the group spent the evenings chatting and playing board games and Sunday evening Sean had prepared a quiz all about Bath and its fascinating history. The FiNs would all like to say a big thank you to Noran and Sean for organising such a brilliant holiday and for all their hard work over the long weekend.
