Bloomsbury library resumed the service in Nechells today, the library building closed in 2013 due to problems with the building, but today local residents were able to continue to use the service which is now based on a decommissioned library bus at the POD. Nechells POD Parents Forum were the first visitors when the library opened at 9.30 am today. There are a wide range of books available and staff can get any book in the whole of the Birmingham library service delivered to the POD for readers to borrow. The library also had a visit from some of the children from Bloomsbury nursery and other local residents so the first day of opening was a great success. Do come along and use the library when you can they are open Monday, Tuesday Friday and Saturday and the staff look forward to welcoming existing and new members from the Nechells community.
