Nechells POD Project Manager – Paul Coates
I am really excited to be joining this fantastic community charity that has served Nechells so well over the last 12 years, delivering services and activities to support and respond to the needs of the residents.
I have a wealth of experience, having taught maths and business in a state secondary school together with commercial business acumen developed from a range of roles in the banking and commercial finance arena. I am a qualified football coach and have also led a team of mentors and coaches on the Challenge NCS programme to develop team working, community and cohesion for 16-17 year olds. I have also been actively involved in sourcing meaningful apprenticeship opportunities for the young people in the region across a variety of industry sectors.
I hope to be able to help build and develop on the great work that Noran and her team have provided by continuing to work with our partner organisations and volunteers to improve the life chances and develop skills and activities that best support our community in terms of Health and Wellbeing, Reducing Isolation, Community Cohesion and Fulfilling Potential.
The continued support we receive from the Lottery Community Fund and Henry Smith to name but two will ensure that we can continue to make Nechells POD a Place of Dreams for everyone
