Cyber safety was the topic for parents forum today, Sue Ball – Anti Bullying Consultant and Andy Pyper from Birmingham’s link to ICT Team came to discuss how to keep children safe when using the internet and to work with parents to update the Cyber Bullying leaflet that the Parent Forum Group designed in 2012.
Parent Forum will work with Andy and Sue to produce another resource leaflet about the broader issues of Cyber Safety now that the internet is now widely available with smart phones, tablets and games machines which are not so easy for parents to monitor. The group will also look at using alternative formats e.g. video and audio clips and more visual posters to help parents support their children when they are accessing the internet.
