Today we held our end of term Community Lunch. It was a great success as we had lots of different people attend, Nechells residents,Chris Thompson from West Midlands Police, our Befrienders from McDermotts, White Watch from Aston Fire Station, our volunteers and their tutor from BCU, Scout Leaders from Nechells, our Chair of Trustees, Sue Ball , Lee and Pete from Pinstripe, Sally from Spot On, the head teacher from St Clements and we were priviledged that Andy Street who is a candidate to be Lord Mayor of the West Midlands came along as well. Everybody had a fabulous time, the food was delicious, the raffle was huge(raising £124) and everyone had a great time chatting to each other. We were able to give out the latest edition of The POD Post and share the news that the library moves into The POD from 1 April with the possibility of a new build Community Library and Cafe on site in the near future. What a great way to end the term. Come into POD after the Easter holidays to join in some of our activities, training sessions and trips.
