Today we were very honoured to have the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Birmingham visit Nechells POD. They attended our Friday morning Place of Welcome session where they got to meet members of the Nechells community who regularly use the POD’s services. The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress were entertained by children from St Joseph’s Primary School, who read poems and sang songs to everyone.Everyone was keen to hear from the Lord Mayor about his role and the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress listened to Nechells residents about what they get up to at the POD. SENDIASS also joined in the visit and shared with the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress the valuable work they do supporting families and children with special educational needs and disabilities. Everyone had a wonderful time and it brought a lovely warm glow on a very cold morning!
