The annual torch relay between Nechells Zone schools took place today. The Olympic torch started out from Nechells Academy where the children and staff ran to St Clement’s, then it was on to Cromwell, St Joseph’s, Bloomsbury Nursery, Heartlands Sixth Form, St Vincent’s and finally Heartlands Academy where the relay teams were met by the Principal Mrs Jones and everyone had a refreshing cool drink and a pick you up biscuit! The third Nechells Zone Games will be held at the Alexandra Stadium in Perry Barr next Friday 20th June.
Please note that THE POD WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC on the 20th June as we are all going to have a great sports day with our zone schools, will St Vincent’s hold onto their overall winners title or will another school take the trophy this year?
