What a hoot! As part of National Bookstart Week the children at this morning’s Tots’ Time session at the library had a bird themed boogie whilst listening to ‘A Busy Day For Birds’ by Lucy Cousins and then decorated owl headdresses. The BookTrust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity that promotes the joys and benefits of reading from a young age and provided all the children with their own copy of the book and a rhyme sheet to share with their parents/carers. If you have a child under 5 then why not bring them along on a Tuesday morning at 11.00am and discover the wonder of stories together.
