This afternoon we celebrated with the Smurfit Kappa Group where for the third year running the SSK Foundation sponsored our fantastic Bookshare project. Year one children in our local schools each received a book every month to encourage families to share and read books together. Our penultimate book is Bat Mouse, written and illustrated by the amazing Steve Smallman who came to read to our children and share his amazing artistic talents! It was great to hear from children, staff and parents about how much they had enjoyed Bookshare and which were their favourite books.
