Naz from Health Exchange was back at the POD this morning to tell us all about the fat and sugar in our food and how what we eat affects our bodies. Did you know that a single small croissant contains 7 grams of fat!. There were lots of examples of the hidden fats and sugars in the things that we eat and how these can lead to the clogging up of our arteries right from when we were small children and how this can lead to health problems later in our lives. We were all surprised at the facts and figures that we learnt and each member of the group decided on one small thing that they could change every week to try and make improvements to their diet for a healthier future. Next week we will learn all about exercise and how to make changes to the way we live our lives.
