The second Cook and Taste course held at the POD finished today, Chris Walker from Food Net did another fantastic course with our parents, teaching them how to make heathy and nutrituous food from scratch, the sessions have included dishes like fish pie, jerk chicken, pizza and curry along with wonderful deserts like carrot cake, bread an butter pudding and banana cake.
The cooking has filled the POD with delicious aroma’s for the last five weeks and staff have been lucky enough to be abole to sample the delights with the parents at the end of each session. The group have been inspired to try these and new recipies at home for all their family to enjoy.
As a result of the sucess of the sessions at the POD the NHS have received further funding for more courses in Birmingham.
