The second week of the DREAMS programme started on Monday, this week the weather has not been so fine but we have managed to dodge the showers and have a wonderful time with even higher numbers of children attending. The children have really got on board with the olympic theme, embracing the olympic values of courage, determination, respect, friendship, inspiration, honor/sportsmanship, equality, excellence and team work.
The children were split by year group into the following teams Farah, Pendleton,Wenlock and Manderville and the rotated around the four exciting daily activities taking place at the POD. The children enjoyed, film making, especially the use of specialist equipment and green screen technology to produce their own olympic movies.
Other activities included: puppetry, circus skills, storytelling, decathlon sports, tai chi and the science bug workshop, as well as having the opportunity to develop their creativity in collaborative activities including art and design and dance.
