Today at Nechells POD we had a 100 volunteers from Lloyds Bank who helped out by painting our community room, two rest rooms and helped with garden maintenance and clearance. The Lloyds volunteers were so dedicated to sprucing up the POD they even cleared out our lock up that was full of unused furniture and long forgotten items. This was part of Lloyds Bank Give and Gain scheme where one day a year Lloyds Bank staff volunteer their time to give a helping hand to the community.
Thank you to Crown, Aston, and especially Michelle, for assistance in donating paint and supplying equipment at a reduced cost.
It is very humbling to have the support of two companies in enhancing our environment for the community.
A special thank you to Nechells POD trustee Rob Walker who organised and coordinated this amazing event. Our Lloyds volunteers worked extremely hard and we were thrilled with the results, everything looks fantastic!
Thanks to you all, in one day you have made a tremendous difference in our community which will last for a very long time.
