Today was a happy day and a sad day at Nechells POD. Happy because we were celebrating the end of our Reaching Communities BIG Lottery funded Safe Haven Project and recognising the great contribution of some of our volunteers. Thanks to Giselle from the lottery who presented our volunteer certificates.Sad because Sheena will be leaving us next week to take up a new job at Birmingham University. Sheena has been an amazing Safe Haven Coordinator and has worked so hard that we have exceeded the targets set but most importantly she has consulted widely with our community to make sure the range of fantastic activities provided had a positive impact on their lives. We will miss Sheena and wish her lots of luck in the future. Thanks to everyone who attended the celebration, it was great that so many of us could come together enjoy each others company and Zenia’s delicious food!
