Over the February half term we were joined by five families from Cromwell School and Miss Plummer. Nechells Safe Haven had a focus on Healthy Living and each day we were joined by different people who helped us to understand how important it is to eat well, exercise and enjoy ourselves. On Monday Reece from Bloomsbury Children’s Centre told us all about healthy lunchboxes. On Tuesday Albert taught us how to make pizza and bread. On Wednesday Sam gave us two hours of fitness activities. On Thursday Glenn and Joy from Gateway Family services joined us to talk about healthy eating, Friday we finished off with Becky and Shirley with and arts and crafts activity.
Here is what the Nechells families thought about the week:
“Lots of fun”
“We learned about hidden sugars”
“We liked playing fun games which taught us about eating healthy”
“We enjoyed eating pizza”.
