The Communuity Health Champions Birmingham training programme facilitated by Freshwinds as part of their Community Cohesion Programme began at the POD today, the course will run for four weeks and covers several modules including understanding the basic principals of public health, the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and health awareness. Participants will then volunteer to support other members of the community with their health problems for the next six months. Once the programme is completed the students will be awarded a qualification from the Royal Society of Public Health – Level 1 Award in Health Awareness.
