Freshwinds, a Birmingham based charity, donated some beautiful hand made blankets and scarves for distribution by the POD.
Today we asked our FiN (Friends in Nechells) group at the end of their Plus Fit Session if they would like them and they were delighted to take them home to keep warm, especially after the snow we had last week. The quality of the knitting and crochet was amazing and the variety of colours was great and meant that everyone got to pick their favourite colours.
We would all like to thank Freshwinds for their generosity and for helping to keep our older generation here in Nechells warm and cozy during the long winter nights.
