We hosted our third Nechells community lunch today, despite the awful weather we were joined by over 60 local residents, third sector providers and staff from the POD and West Midlands Police. We would like to say a special thank you to Councillor Chauhdry Rashid who took time out of his busy schedule to be our star guest. There were short presentations given on the Nechells Credit Union who are now based at the POD on Thursday mornings (term time only) and about free home insulation grants which will help Nechells residents save over £300 per year on their home heating bills. Our next lunch will be held on 7th December 2012 if you would like to join us please register you name with POD staff.
