Write On!
Write On - Nechells EAZ and Writing West Midlands
Year 6 children from across the Zone took part in a series of fabulous writing workshop at the picturesque St Mary's College in Ocsott. During the day the children developed many techniques to enhance their writing skills. They learnt about how to formulate a story and develop story lines and enhance characters, different approaches to writing - newspaper articles, diary entries, poetry and stories and how to be more expressive with their writing. The young people also got to meet a variety of writers, poets, journalists, authors and editors. The children had the opportunity to ask questions about their work and writing.

Neighbourhood Meetings - Police Surgery

The Nechells Neighbourhood meetings have a new set of dates for 2012, the group gives residents from the Nechells area the opportunity to receive updates from the local police and raise any concerns that they have about their community. All residents are welcome to these relaxed and informal discussions, come and join the group to find out what's happening in your area!
