Creative and Meaningful Curriculum
The schools in Nechells Education Action Zone aim to create a cohesive, meaningful curriculum that gives children and young people a purpose and an audience and that develops their skills of enquiry, independence and collaboration.
To provide a framework for the rigour that is needed to raise or maintain high standards in literacy and numeracy. The Education Action is developing a curriculum that teaches students how to learn and gives them opportunities to make a real difference in their own lives and those of others.
Objectives:

To support zone schools in implementing a creative and meaningful curriculum Nechells Education Action Zone provides:

- Focus Weeks
- Resource Boxes
- Annual Creative Curriculum Conference
- School based Creative Curriculum Projects
- Working group for Creative Curriculum leads from each zone school
- Outdoor Zone Learning Area

Neighbourhood Meetings - Police Surgery

The Nechells Neighbourhood meetings have a new set of dates for 2012, the group gives residents from the Nechells area the opportunity to receive updates from the local police and raise any concerns that they have about their community. All residents are welcome to these relaxed and informal discussions, come and join the group to find out what's happening in your area! (Please note All concerns are treated with the strictest confidence.)
